THE MORAL OF THE STORY
I use this YouTube channel to discuss good stories and explore their moral meanings from a Christian perspective.
I also discuss Biblical ethics and explain how to apply God's word to our daily lives.
Strong and independent men intimidate lesser, weaker men.
"Notice how they'll accept anything except a man who stands alone. They recognize him at once . . . There's a special, insidious kind of hatred for him . . . The independent man kills them—because they don't exist within him . . . Notice the malignant kind of resentment against any idea that propounds independence. Notice the malice toward an independent man."
— Howard Roark, the protagonist of Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead.
The "they" Roark refers to are people who are too afraid to think for themselves—those people who never accomplish anything of real value because "they" waste their lives settling for the safety of the status quo or chasing the empty approval of others.
Be your own man. Embrace the responsibility of thinking for yourself, of being a self-motivated man who works hand-in-hand with God to achieve his own destiny.
